Now schools are told to give free morning-after pills and condoms to teenage girls to cut unwanted pregnancies

  • Guidance comes from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence

  • Free condoms should be 'readily accessible' for young men and women

  • School nurses would be allowed to dispense emergency contraception

  • Figures show 253 girls under 14 fell pregnant in 2012 and almost three-quarters had an abortion
